Welcome to this week's Melbourne events, exhibitions, sports and
community guide.

This week... all the bases seem to be covered on the festival
front, or a good share of them at least, with a grand mix of
clog-kicking at the Holland Festival, East Timorese something or
other at Queen Vic Market (it involves food, music and art, all of
which carries an East Timorese flavour apparently), a Teddy Bears
Picnic in Hastings and a spot of Show Pony shenanigans with the
Boneo Park Equestrian Festival catering to horse lovers.

There's a fair run of all things arty with the Festival of Glass in
Drysdale, while cinephiles can enjoy Belgrave's Hillside Film
Festival along with Flickerfest showcasing a selection of shorts,
much like you'll find at the Geelong Multi Sport Festival where
there'll be people running, jogging and all sorts of active
chicanery.

Not my cup of tea, personally. I'm still buggered from moving house
and currently enjoying that transitional phase of now wondering
what goes where, while also navigating where what went - one of
which was an ornamental iron bell that walked into me when it
wasn't looking. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Here are highlights from the latest newsletter.
