 Tuesday 26th August to Monday 1st September 2014 Let's start with Happy Birthday Melbourne. This Saturday remembers the day 179 years ago when the first European settlers landed in Melbourne from the schooner Enterprize. Interesting Fact: Neither Founding Father, John Batman or John Fawkner was in Melbourne on that day. Fawkner arrived on 16 October 1835 and Batman arrived on 9 November 1835.
