The Musical

Strictly Ballroom

Global Creatures presents Strictly Ballroom The Musical, based on the much-loved Australian film.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann, Strictly Ballroom The Musical features classic songs from the film including Love is in the Air and Time after Time, as well as some wonderful new songs by artists such as Eddie Perfect and Sia.

The cast includes Thomas Lacey and Phoebe Panaretos as Scott Hastings and Fran with Bob Baines, Drew Forsythe, Natalie Gamsu, Robert Grubb, Fernando Mira, Heather Mitchell and Mark Owen-Taylor leading an ensemble of over 40 performers.

Fitzroy Gardens

Sunset Series

Presented by the City of Melbourne, the Sunset Series is a celebration of summer in the city, held in the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens.

The annual summer event will take place at sunset on the Stage Lawn in Fitzroy Gardens over the second and third weekends in January.

Enjoy free live music and dance workshops. Hang out with your friends and family, bring a picnic, have a dance and relax on the grass as the sun goes down. Some of Melbourne's favourite food trucks will be on-site to provide tasty treats.
